Spinout is proud to present our first release from the Minimal and Tech House legend Alex Young, you may have heard of him before…he just recently won Beatport Best Minimal Artist 2008! Over the past few years he has proven a global success being charted by top DJ’s such as Richie Hawtin, James Zabiela and Roger Sanchez, not to mention being featured by Pete Tong on his Essential Mix show on Radio1. His tune ‘Minimalesk’ was the first Minimal tune to reach the top position on the Beatport download chart `07-’08, paving the way for other producers in the genre to follow in his footsteps. Recently he has been promoting and working with artists from around the world on his label Strike Recordings and this release is no different working for the 2nd time with fellow Columbian Scella.
The original welcomes us in with a tension building synth leading to a pulsing, head nodding beat layered with booty-shaking percussion giving the immediate feeling of an upbeat dance floor killa. Add to this the old skool claps giving it an unmistakable party vibe and no one can resist! The atmospheric synths that introduce the breakdown are reminiscent of watching the sun come up in Ibiza and the groove it drops back into keeps you moving for the rest of the track. This is a dance floor essential.
The remix on this one comes from burgeoning artist Adam Shaw. One of the brightest young stars to emerge onto the Tech House scene in the recent past, he has proved himself worthy securing himself a remix and a place on Deadmau5’s label not to mention various releases on PH Zero. A floor to the floor beat and cheeky percussion get the track off to a great start. He goes on to tease us with stabs of a morphing synth which drops in to a classic off beat synth. In the breakdown the beat touches on the tribal and then the tension builds til it drops you satisfyingly into an upbeat groove guaranteed to make you dance. Get your booty on the floor cus this one is hotter than Eva Mendes poolside in Miami!

 Last Armada Night, is almost a half year ago, time for Armada Music to make last preparations for the next event on the 16th of May. The Westerunie venue in Amsterdam will be the epicenter of music, as the first Armada Night of 2009 will kick off in style!
Worldwide, Armada has organized numerous Armada Nights over the past years, including their successful Ibiza parties in Club Amnesia. In 2009, Armada Music has planned at least 4 Dutch editions of this popular clubbing event. With the first Night in the Westerunie venue on May 16th, the atmosphere of Ibiza will be brought to one of Holland’s most refined clubs.
Armada Night @ Westerunie will feature some of the best Armada linked DJ’s, and pass by all the diverse sounds Armada has to offer: from progressive and uplifting trance to techy house.

 The world’s leading Sensation will come to the Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna. Sensation will present their mind-blowing new show ‘The Ocean of White’, which premiered at the Amsterdam Arena on the 5th of July 2008. The concept of such a unique event was conceived by ID&T, the number one event organiser in the Netherlands. Sensation has now become the flagship event on ID&T’s calendar, celebrating it’s 10th edition this year, and the company is very proud and excited to be coming to Austria in 2009. Duncan Stutterheim, CEO and founder: “The Austrians are well known for their party spirit, and we are very happy to finally bring Sensation to Austria.“
The first ever Sensation took place at the Amsterdam ArenA – home of Ajax football club, and was experienced by 20,000 clubbers. The following year, Sensation as we know it was born. As a tribute to his brother Miles, who helped found ID&T before sadly dying in a car accident, Duncan Stutterheim, Sensation CEO, asked visitors to dress in white as people did at Miles’ funeral. Numbers had doubled from the first year, and eighty percent of the 40,000 attendees did so, creating an image so staggering that the dress code has remained the same ever since.
World-renowned DJs take to the Sensation decks during each eight-hour spectacle of extraordinary stage shows, acrobats, actors, state-of-the-art lightshows, lasers and fireworks. Performers dance across the venue and abseil from the roof, flames shoot from the stage and carnival floats part the crowds.
